What is a statutory body?

The State statutory body is a corporate body incorporated under the laws of the state, excluded local authorities. It was established by the state Government through the establishment of the respective enactments passed by the State Legislative Assembly.
 

What are the aims and objectives of the state statutory body being established?

The goal of the state statutory body is to enable the operation and activities of the government be done efficiently and systematically under the regulations that have been set.

What does is meant by the State companies?

Definition of State companies, including all layers of subsidiaries, associates and investment companies in which the State has a stake directly or effectively, respectively as follows:

  1. The parent company and its subsidiaries under the control of the State Government and state statutory body whose equity exceeds 50%.
  2. Associate company outside the control of the State Government and the state statutory body which their equity holding is between 20% to 50%;
  3. Investment company in which the State Government and state statutory body has an equity stake of less than 20%.
